Satellite TV vs. Cable TV

All television programming comes from satellites and is sent to receivers that then distribute the programming to your TV. Satellite customers get their own programming directly from the satellite which means they select what channels they want, and pay for.

Cable companies get the satellite signals on THEIR equipment, then they make up ‘packages’ of programming to offer their customers. Essentially, Satellite providers like ASC take out the middleman (the cable company) and give the choice back to the customer, where it belongs.

ASC provides commercial quality dishes that have features like built in heaters to keep your TV signal constant. Outages are typically brief and don’t require calling and waiting for service

A direct signal is a stronger signal. Satellite is typically twice as strong as a cable signal because satellite TV does not require any intermediary things like cables, amplifiers, coupling units and other equipment that reduces the quality of viewing experience.
